Discover the New Orleans Seafood Festival

There's just something about the combination of New Orleans and seafood that makes the heart go pitter-pat, don't you agree? And one of the nicest months to visit New Orleans is in September, when the temperatures are down and the 4th Annual New Orleans Seafood Festival is underway.

Taking place September 10-12, 2010, in downtown New Orleans, the Seafood Festival is a further combination New Orleans fun, seafood, music, and displays by local artists. Enjoy cuisine offered up by such well known restaurants as Arnaud's, King Creole, ACME Oyster House, and Drago's Seafood Restaurant.

If you arrive on Thursday, be sure to take in the Saints game at the Louisiana Superdome, then take your ticket stub to the festival on Friday to take advantage of the drink specials only for Saints fans. In turn, culinary fans will enjoy the celebrity chef demonstrations throughout the weekend.

If you have any concerns over consuming seafood caught in the Gulf of Mexico due to the BP oil spill, the New Orleans Seafood Festival states that "Seafood from Louisiana is safe and healthy to eat. To date, all tests are coming back showing that Louisiana seafood is safe to consume."

Let's support New Orleans and our friends in the Gulf by attending this sure-to-be delicious culinary event that can only be done New Orleans style. For more information, visit New Orleans Seafood Festival.
