New Orleans Oyster Festival

When you hear the motto "eat oysters, love longer" in conjunction with 'New Orleans,' you just know it's got to be something good...

This year's New Orleans Oyster Festival takes place on June 4 & 5, 2011, in the historic French Quarter.  Promising to 'educate the country about the benefits of the Louisiana Gulf Oyster,' the two-day festival brings together oyster farmers and restaurateurs to showcase this most delicious delicacy.

The free admission means you can bring all of your friends to enjoy events like a shucking contest, eating contest, live music, along with tasting local culinary delights in the Oyster Capital of America.
