Travel Tips for Cuba!

Have you decided to take the plunge and enjoy your new found freedom to travel to Cuba?  This beautiful country truly has so much to offer visitors and even though you'll be mainly restricted to your tour itinerary, here are some helpful travel tips for Cuba that you may not have considered...
  • don't bother bringing your cell phone, it won't work in Cuba
  • bring cash as U.S. credit cards are not accepted although you may be able to get a cash advance at a bank, but don't count on it
  • you won't find neighbourhood convenience stores on every corner like in the U.S., you'll be restricted to government run grocery stores and pharmacies
  • the quality of meals will be less than expected - gourmet food is hard to find, canned vegetables in restaurants are the norm, and rice & beans is the staple of all
So just why do you want to go to Cuba?  Because it's a amazing experience where the sun shines 330 days per year along with a wealth of:
  • pristine colonial architecture, considered to be the best in the Caribbean
  • clear turquoise waters perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving
  • outdoor opportunities including birding, bicycling, golfing, and swimming with local dolphins
  • friendly and welcoming people
