Explore Europe Up Close & Personal

With four new ships already in their fleet, Viking River Cruises will be receiving two more vessels into their Viking Longship category within 2012.  Just what do their Viking Longships offer?  Let's take a look!
  • Viking Longships are the first cruise ships in Europe to offer stateroom suites featuring two full-sized rooms including a living area with veranda and a bedroom with a French balcony featuring floor to ceiling sliding glass doors
  • these new 'green' ships make use of solar panels and hybrid engines while the sun deck is home their organic herb garden
  • for the ultimate viewing experience, Viking Longships offer Explorer Suites featuring wraparound verandas and 270° views
  • all Viking Longships feature an Aquavit Terrace designed for casual al fresco indoor/outdoor dining in all types of weather
  • all Viking Longship staterooms are equipped with high-definition entertainment systems and deluxe bathroom amenities
But why choose a river cruise?  That's easy - there are less passengers; the ship is smaller and so it will dock in the center of towns & villages making exploring oh-so convenient; plus all cabins offer river views while calm waters appeal to all cruisers.  Read more at 5 Reasons to Choose a River Cruise.
