Exclusive Honeymoon Destinations: Richard Branson Style

If you're looking for an amazing honeymoon destination, consider one of the many resort properties owned by Sir Richard Branson known as Virgin Limited Edition.

First on the flight path?  British Virgin Islands' (BVI) Necker Island.

This romantic haven made headlines in 2011 when it's beloved Great House was destroyed in a fire - you may remember Branson's mother and Kate Winslet narrowing escaping with their lives.  The new Great House built in the same Balinese style as the first is set to open this summer plus there's a new Beach Pavilion with almost 4,000 square feet of lounging area.  Necker Island can accommodate from 16 to 28 guests with additional accommodations available onboard the 105' Necker Belle catamaran.  Rates start at USD $26,000 per couple/week or $42,500 for buying out the entire island.

Next stop? The Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

The intimate 27-room Kasbah Tamadot resort now offers it's own culinary lessons due to the popularity of requests by the more than satisfied guests dining at their Kanoun Restaurant.  The 3-hour lessons incorporate traditional Moroccan dishes using locally sourced food (including fruits & vegetables from their onsite gardens).  Kasbah Tamadot rates including breakfast start at $645 per room based on double occupancy and $1,080 for an exclusive Berber Tent with private verandah and picturesque mountain views.

The next layover is Mahali Mzuri in Kenya.

Set to open it's doors this summer,  Mahali Mzuri will be offering big game safaris at the nearby Maasai Mara National Reserve and Olare Orok in conjunction with glamping (glamour camping).  Set upon the African migration route in the Motorogi Conservancy, the resort offers an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities as well as available spa treatments and a thrilling hot air balloon ride.  Rates start at $590 per person based on double.  As another option, rates at Ulusaba (Sir Richard Branson's Private Game Reserve) on the edge of Kruger National Park in South Africa, offers all-inclusive rates from $584 per person based on double.

Final two stops? Switzerland and Australia.

The Lodge is a romantic cozy 9-room hiking and skiing resort in Verbeier, Switzerland, where both visitors can enjoy exploring all year round; summer rates including meals start at $935.  Located near the Great Barrier Reef, Makepeace Island in Noosa, Australia, is another of Branson's private homes available for rent.  This Balinese-style island experience comes with golfing and water sports at a rate of $3,405 for up to 22 lucky resort guests.
