Review: Big Bus Tours MIAMI

Recently I had the chance to stay at the YVE Hotel Miami. We wanted to do a hop-on/hop-off bus tour but since there are so many to choose from, we decided to check with the hotel staff. Because of high customer satisfaction rates, they didn't hesitate in recommending Big Bus Tours.

We purchased 48-hour tickets ($45 per adult; $36 per child ages 5 to 15) and took 3 tours in total, in between seeing Chris Cornell play at the Adrienne Arsht Center and heading to FantasyFest in Key West for the day. We boarded at Central Station, about a 4-minute walk from YVE Hotel Miami.

The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and comfortable in their presentations, and the tours took us to all the must-see sights in Miami. We had so much fun! There's nothing quite like having to duck at a moments notice so as not to get hit by overhanging tree branches, or driving down the freeway at full speed in the upper level of a double-decker bus!

My favorite route was the City Loop - we visited Miami, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Little Havana, where we took the free Big Bus walking tour, which comes with an authentic Cuban coffee, just to die for. We passed by the Freedom Tower, the gorgeous Venetian Pool, Vizcaya Museum, Versace Mansion, the County Courthouse and Millionaire's Row.

Our next tour was the Beach Loop which tours around Miami Beach, through the Art Deco district in South Beach, along Collins Avenue, Washington Avenue and Ocean Drive. Last was the Uptown Loop which is comprised of visiting Overtown, downtown Miami, Midtown and the trendy up-and-coming art district of Wynwood.

Big thanks to our talented tour guides, Armando, Andy & Alina - your dedication and love of Miami shines through! And also to our drivers, Miguel and Raphael - we can't believe how easily you maneuvered through the big city traffic! We hope to tour with you all again & highly recommend Big Bus Tours Miami to anyone visiting the area.
